Our men’s utility jackets draw on military history for inspiration. Our N-3 Mod Utility Chore Coat is inspired by the U.S. Navy N-3 Utility Chore Coat which was designed in the 1940s as part of the Navy’s cold weather clothing layering system. Our Deck Jacket is very closely modeled on a U.S. Navy Extreme Cold Weather Deck Jacket first manufactured by Alpha in the 1970s. Utility jackets typically feature several external pockets, ideal for storing your phone, keys, wallet, and other belongings. They’re also generally made from durable materials fit for everyday wear, like cotton or nylon.
Utility Style: How to Wear a Men’s Utility Jackets and Vests
Thanks to their classic and functional style, our men’s utility jackets can be dressed up or down according to your own interpretation. They pair well equally with jeans + t-shirt as they do with chinos + hoodie, and come in neutral colors that work with any look—think black, khaki, or forest green. For warmer weather—or to layer under a heavier jacket or over a liner jacket—look to our unlined utility jackets like the N-3 Mod Chore Coat. For cold days, the Deck Jacket offers a built-in quilted lining.
