Alpha Industries designs have always been known for aesthetic innovation as much as their enduring quality, and our newest collection is no different. We first introduced the Spring/Summer 2021 collection with the Property Of campaign, which was inspired by the resiliency of New York City and its residents. Now, with sunnier days upon us, we’re excited to showcase new designs that offer a contemporary take on many classic styles. This includes fresh variations of the bomber to create a lightweight jacket suitable for spring, as well as additions to the best-selling PT Collection, accessories, and new graphic tees.

The Spring/Summer 2021 collection prominently features many spring jackets, with the L-2B bomber jacket at the forefront, an Alpha Industries classic. The L-2B bomber jacket was originally created in the early 1950s, shortly after the MA-1 and L-2A, as a more lightweight jacket for warmer temperatures. Now, with a number of trendy updates and modern silhouettes, the L-2B makes an ideal spring jacket for 2021.

Spring/Summer 2021 is all about experimenting with different silhouettes as well as fabrics. Two new additions to our women’s bomber jackets feature an ultra-cropped hem for a trendy waist-length fit. The L-2B Cropped Bomber Jacket is especially flattering when paired with high-waisted trousers and a casual top. Choose between a classic green exterior or a neutral black bomber jacket for any mood at any time of day.

Or, freshen up your wardrobe with something that’s always in style: a varsity jacket. Our L-2B Varsity Cropped Bomber Jacket for women is made of quality materials and boasts a fun, sporty flair, with contrast knit details along the cuffs and cropped hem. As a contemporary take on a timeless style, this bomber offers an easy way to update any spring outfit with a sporty, all-American touch.

Additionally, the newest member of our NASA-inspired line of bomber jackets for men and women is the L-2B NASA GEN II bomber, which builds upon the original L-2B specs and materials. Defining features include colorful patches on the front lapel and the back representing the six Apollo missions that successfully landed on the moon; the jacket can also be reversed to reveal a striking moon-themed print lining. NASA’s Apollo program conducted a total of 18 missions from 1969 to 1972, a period of time that exemplified scientific innovation and space exploration. One of the missions represented on the L-2B Apollo II is Apollo 11, which landed man on the moon in 1969 — one of the greatest achievements in human history.

The L-2B bomber isn’t the only Alpha Industries classic getting a makeover this season. We’re refreshing the M-65 field jacket with a trendy cropped style, perfect for mild spring and summer days. The M-65 Mod Cropped Field Jacket features a boxy fit that allows for easy layering, along with a soft, garment washed cotton shell for a worn-in, vintage inspired look. Slight fraying on the hem, which has been cropped to a flattering cut around the waist, adds a touch of character. M-65 jackets have been widely popular since the ‘60s and ‘70s, when they became a wardrobe staple of the American counterculture and antiwar activists.
